• “If this ensemble is in any way representative of the next generation of opera singers, the future’s so bright I gotta wear shades!”

    Brad Syke, Syke On Stage

  • “Keep an eye out for Operantics’ next production. It’s an affordable, accessible way to enjoy opera without compromising on class...absorbing and genuinely entertaining.”

    Rita Bratovich, Altmedia

  • “The passion was palpable. If you like the razor-edged wit of Shakespeare’s comedies, you’re bound to like Cosí and, if you like Cosí, you’re bound to be very amused and impressed by Operantics’ reading. ‘Bravo!’ and ‘encore!’”

    Brad Syke, Syke On Stage

  • “Together, the pieces make for an entertaining combination delving into the short, comedic side of opera ... the performances across the board are quite incredible..."

Matthew Raven, The Buzz From Sydney

  • “Sydney’s relatively new, fledgling opera company, Operantics, presents this beautiful work with heart, humour and magnificent singing.”

    Jade Kops, BroadwayWorld

  • "It’s the best party I’ve been to in a long while."

    Brydie Wright, Weekend Notes

  • “With a tight ensemble cast ... every performer is relied on for star turns and there is not a weak link amongst them.”

    Brydie Wright, Weekend Notes

Operantics performs at the ICC for
Chief Executive Women’s Annual Dinner

This year, Operantics was honoured to return as the featured entertainment at the Chief Executive Women Annual Dinner in Sydney for the second consecutive year. Held at the International Convention Centre as part of Chief Executive Women’s 40th anniversary celebrations, the event welcomed nearly 1,500 women in business for the opening night of this prestigious national series.

Tessa Hayward, Elena Marcello and Emily Turner gave a stirring performance, setting the tone for an evening of inspiration, recognition, and connection among some of Australia’s most influential leaders. As a proudly independent, female-led company, Operantics is delighted to support this celebration of leadership, creativity, and impact.

Delivering high notes and hijinks since 2015

Operantics began in 2015 as a grassroots collective of passionate singers, musicians and creatives, debuting at Sydney’s Independent Theatre with a mission to tell powerful stories through opera. Since then, we’ve staged a vibrant mix of mainstage productions and concert series, welcoming more than a hundred Australian artists to the stage, from rising talents to seasoned professionals.

Now a registered charity, Operantics is entering an exciting new chapter. We remain proudly artist-led and community-driven, committed to showcasing the extraordinary breadth of Australian vocal talent. Whether reimagining the classics or exploring new works, we’re here to spark curiosity, foster connection, and grow a bold, inclusive culture of opera-going in Australia.
